Pictured above is another meal made out of one of the salmon fillets I cooked all together last week.  A simple salmon salad, but why to two chunky bits of carrot on the side you might ask ....

... this is why.

Suky loves a big chunk of carrot to chew, and as there are few calories in a carrot the Vet says she is allowed as many as she wants.

  1. How strange Sue......my Mum's dog, a border collie, loved carrots too but was putting on weight (he was old and didn't move much, even used to sit down in protest when Mum took him out for walks!). Her vet told her to cut down on the amount of carrots she gave him and said that English carrots (he was a Scot) had more sugar than Scottish ones! (don't know how true that is!).

    3. And if English carrots are higher sugar than Scottish ones .... I wonder where Welsh carrots stand ;-)

  2. Dogs love carrots don't they! I don't think I've ever met a dog who wasn't a fan.

    1. I honestly hadn't realised how much dogs love carrots until Suky got her first taste of a full one.

Our lovely Border Collie Sophie, used to patiently pick out any trace of a vegetable out of any food we gave her and line all the pieces up neatly next to her dish, when Rosy was a pup she would come along afterwards and eat all the peas but leave all the carrots!!
